A golden Edi was awarded to the latest AMBEO Soundbars campaign in the Branded Content category at Thursdays Edi Awards in Zurich’s Schiffbau theatre. The campaign, featuring several wild animals, was one of only four shortlisted campaigns to receive the highest award, a golden Edi.
For the first time since the pandemic, more than 700 guests were gathered for the Edi Awards, the Swiss Commissioned and Commercial Film Award, organized by the Swissfilm Association. The event is considered the most important awards ceremony of the year for film producers in Switzerland.
Putting the listener in the middle
Out of 49 films nominated for the shortlist, 15 of them were awarded an Edi. Only four of these, including the AMBEO Soundbars campaign, won a golden Edi. In a statement of the jury, the Sennheiser campaign was praised for its immersive qualities, offering the viewers an experience out of the ordinary:
“The film shows in a surprising way how realistically the sounds of a soundbar can be transmitted. This goes so far, that wild animals think they have heard conspecifics. The soundbar manages to catapult the listener into the middle of the scenery. This kind of storytelling captivates the audience from beginning to end.”
The other golden Edi winners were campaigns for the NZZ, the SBB and the Zurich Children's Hospital.
The official sales release date for the latest member of the Sennheiser AMBEO Soundbars family, the AMBEO Soundbar Plus, is Monday November 7th.
